Stand Sure Systems provides engineering and system administration to tech start-ups. We do
everything from core network design and implementation to complete build-outs and system
administration of new sites. Most of our work is LAMP, but there is lots of variety. Many of our
clients are brand new, some are companies you have heard of and may use yourself.

Full-time position available for Linux/Network engineer doing design, implementation and
operation of high-volume servers, networks and sites. Tasks range from high-level network design, device
and server configuration to system administration of high-volume Linux websites for our clients,
trouble-shooting and repair of system faults, software and hardware installation supporting complex,
mission-critical application suites and networks.
Positions require knowledge of Linux (Red Hat, Fedora, CentOS or equivalent), AND strong knowledge of
network design and configuration (Cisco, Juniper, etc.) Very experienced Linux system administrators with
experience in Apache, MySQL and PHP/Perl will be considered as well. Use of blogs, wikis, Nagios,
Cacti, cron, BASH and ticket systems such as RT very helpful. Programming experience is not
required. Relevant BS degree preferred but not critical.
We have spent considerable time bringing up full infrastructures in Amazon and other clouds. Experience
creating AMIs, managing running instances, setting up virtual networking and other related tasks
would be very valuable to Standsure and our clients.
Strong process-orientation and ability to follow change management and engineering policies is critical.
